Local Enrolments

Wilkins Public School recognises as local students all those who reside within the area bounded by:

NORTH
 New Canterbury Road, Shaw Street, Oxford Street, Newington Road and Bright Street.
 
SOUTH
 Marrickville Road between Wardell Street and Illawarra Road..
 
EAST
 Essex Street, Neville Street, Sydenham Road between Neville Street and Illawarra Road to Marrickville Road.
 
WEST
 Marrickville Road, Wardell Road to New Canterbury Road. 

To enrol at Wilkins Public School you must provide the following proof of residency documentation.

• A current lease or mortgage document with the enrolling parent(s)/guardian name on it.
• Electricity/Gas bill with the enrolling parent(s)/guardian name on it.
• Child's Birth Certificate
• Child's Immunisation Certificate (Blue book is not accepted)

Non-Local Enrolments

Parents may seek to enrol their child at Wilkins Public School even though they are Out of Area. We must ensure firstly that there are sufficient places for eligible local children. The Wilkins Public School Enrolment Team determines the non-local enrolment criteria for Wilkins Public School within the guidelines of the Department of Education and Training. The team prioritises applications and makes decisions based on the Criteria.

Criteria for Non-Local Enrolments:

• Siblings of currently enrolled non-local students will be considered.
• Other non-local applications which may include criteria such as compassionate circumstances, medical reasons, close proximity to school ( but out of local area).
• Out of area (non local) children who do not fit the criteria above will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when a position becomes available.
• Children who are already enrolled in Globe-Wilkins Preschool and are out of area will be placed on a waiting list.
